Shades of Orwell in this respect In this book, women and non-dominant-species characters get short shrift, but only because the main character has been socialized to see them that way. I’m glad I finished it but I can’t say I got too much out of it. I know, names, eh? The result is, if not exactly intimate, still substantially more engaging than the previous volumes.
