This is not an easy read, and to put its ideas into practice is a lifetime’s work, but several helpful appendices suggest spiritual practices and other reading, as well as background ideas, to set us on the way. I suspect my hesitancy about this book is a sense of a lack of discipline in its writing which is revealed in the comments above and other aspects of the book which are similar.

But I did not feel prompted to read it until this year which turned out to be a blessing because the message of this book echoes my own personal journey of the last 12 months, so when I read it, I found that Rohr’s words helped me articulate what I have been experiencing but could not quite describe.
