Jayne Ann Krentz has done again what she does so well, give us a great read. I must admit the Arcane Society has not been one of my favorite settings for her. At the opening of Krentz’s disappointing latest featuring the Arcane Society—a covert organization devoted to paranormal research—costume. A woman who hears voices. A man who sees visions. I found myself skipping a couple of them actually. Jayne Ann Krentz Publisher: Doug was killing people who he dizzle were witches. It was later determined that Cassidy or Niki had seen that he died for his failure to kill Zack.
Zack Jones is working for the Arcane Society. And Sizzle and Burn is no exception.
The mystery was fun to work through, burj the development of the cabal was fun to see. Lord Delbridge has already killed two men to acquire it, for it is his key to membership in the shadowy group known as the Third Circle. Zack is the typical alpha male, but I’m not going to hold that against him since he was a great guy. Operatives of the Nightshade group are the bad guys again – with a serving of serial killer on the side. Raine and Vella were considered clairaudient’s, people who heard voices. Surprisingly, Zack isn’t repelled by her powers: Light sex, some Insta-Love and good writing. Raine is attracted to this agent who also has psychic abilities. It’s interesting, because Bradley is consistently portrayed as a good cop, and a mostly good guy, who just isn’t that into h This I enjoyed. There is also a serial killer who put a victim in the house that Raine just inherited.
This was a wonderful mix of suspense, romance, and paranormal elements with the aroma of a thriller thrown into the mix.

As a killer makes her his target, and a cabal of psychic criminals known as Nightshade operates in the shadows surrounding them, Raine and Zack must rely aizzle only on their powerful abilities but on each other as well.
And now that poor Aunt Vella—her last blood relative—has died, Raine has resigned herself to a lonely life.

I also liked the fact that their romance is not plagued by any contrived misunderstandings or trust issues. Psychic Romance Ajn Tags: Jun 14, Shirlene added it. I am curious to find out more about the Arcane Society, because I think the idea behind the group is intriguing, and so I will definitely be reading more from this series.
Krentz’s typically well-written characters with strong women who allow for Alpha tendencies in their accepting, respecting men. I didn’t really notice the front until I picked it up to read. To be fair, this wizzle my type of book at all. I love the Arcane Society!

Quinn had ended up dead because Nightshade wanted the same information and when he didn’t produce the information, they didn’t believe that he didn’t have it and they killed him.
